Old town apartment
Before the renovation, this space was an apartment with dazzling white walls, blood-red curtains, and heavy antique furniture. The greatest challenge was how to revive the beauty of the old town – its layered history and warmth – when many historical details had already been hidden or lost over time. Using archival data, the expertise of restorers, and polychromy techniques, we uncovered past moments of history by applying a layered color palette. We also restored some of the frescoes documented in the archives, revealing glimpses of the building’s former splendor. Old doors, floors, and brass cornices were carefully restored. Together with the lime-plastered walls, preserved authentic moldings, and the rediscovered frescoes, these elements create a rich, warm backdrop for everyday life. The interior combines vintage and modern furniture and lighting, complemented by sculptures and paintings by Lithuanian artists, emphasizing an artistic, sensitive, and subtly luxurious environment. Cherry on top – natural linen curtains and a handmade Italian chandelier in the living room – whose lightness and delicacy foster a soft, refined, and truly exclusive atmosphere.
