AC Hotel by Marriott Vilnius
AC Hotel Vilnius – a part of the Marriott hotel chain, is located in the St. Jacob’s quarter in the heart of Vilnius. The hotel spans about 8,000 square meters, featuring a restaurant that can accommodate up to 180 guests, a conference center for 400 attendees, a gym, and offers 271 rooms with panoramic views of St. Philip and St. Jacob’s Church or the Vilnius CBD skyline. The AC Marriott Vilnius Hotel reflects the brand’s global design ethos while drawing deeply from its immediate context. On one side, the vivid silhouette of the Church of Saints Philip and James – its richly hued façades a constant presence through nearly every window – infuses the interiors with a sense of heritage and tradition. On the other, the emerging central business district rises in sharp contrast, its glass towers and contemporary lines speaking to Vilnius’s modern aspirations. The design seeks to mediate between these two narratives, creating an interior that subtly bridges the timeless and the contemporary. In curating the hotel’s art collection, we turned exclusively to Lithuanian artists, convinced that there is no richer way for a traveler to encounter a culture than through its art. The selection gravitates toward modern and abstract works—large-scale paintings and sculptural pieces that resonate with the building’s contemporary spirit. The color palette was drawn from the AC Marriott brandbook yet refined to resonate with the spirit of Vilnius. A restrained composition of browns, beiges, and warm greys forms the foundation, enriched with subtle accents that echo the hues of the Old Town—terracotta, deep green, and muted yellow. This chromatic balance was selected to harmonize with the surrounding context, creating an interior that feels both grounded in place and attuned to the brand’s aesthetic vision. We believe the strongest proof points of the design are the carefully considered color scheme, the overarching sense of elegance and sleekness, and the selection of contemporary yet timeless furniture and fixtures.
